cooling system question

91 4.3 merc. I/O fresh water cooling. started to overheat last time out. Wanted to know if I take out the t-stat and it runs cool, does that mean my risers are good for now? Am in the process of changing t-stat. advice to where i can order the one i need online? how do i find the part # also. Thank You for any help! Riceman

hi;<br />you may want to check board list under esox on 6-24. i had same problem and corm gave me the advice, followed thru and had her going the next day.<br />good luck.
