this on a 4 cly omc stringer outdrive if I had the outdrive in a barrel of water with the cavitation under water would a get enough water to cool or should it be deeper in the water what I need to know is how much suction does the pump have at low rpm

Howdy,

Probably not........ That will not usually work unless the raw water pump is actually submerged. (don't know where it is in a "Stringer")

The best ( and easiest) way is to use "muffs" and pressure water from a hose................
