Anyone ever look at "windy.com"? Its really cool site with numerous layers for wind, waves, swell, temp etc. My brother works on a ship and he said they use it sometimes. And its free!

The problem you run into with these types of apps are the update rates and they don’t reflect local variability in forecasts.

I use NOAA forecast site. About as accurate as I’ve found, at least for our area.

Wave heights forget it..to much localized variability. Have seen a forecast of seas “1 foot or less” more than a couple of times knowing darn well NE at 10 knots produce white caps

Windy is pretty good. You can choose from different forecast models. The forecasts are hit or miss in my neck of the woods though, we get pretty severe and frequent shifts. Overall nice app though, I always check it before going out
