I have a 4.3 v6 Yamaha. I will soon need to replace exhaust manifolds and risers due to age on them. If you can get the Yamaha parts they are over $1800 or more for the set. You can get the mercruiser for well over 1/2 the price. Has anyone else tried to do this conversion. I have seen it done once and the only problem that the guys run into was the bracket for the alternator. Any help and tips will be appreciated.
Thanks!!

A Google search for 'marine manifold' or even 'stainless marine manifold' returns plenty. OEM and third party.

I'd give that a try.

I just converted my one piece mercury exhaust over to two piece. I didn't use mercury parts as I'm pissed off at mercury, but here are the mercury parts you'll need for an alpha outdrive:
99746a17 qty 2 exhaust manifold
807988a2 qty 2 exhaust elbow
807130a4 qty 1 bullhorn assembly (AKA "Y" pipe)
14865a1 qty 2 elbow assembly
Happy shoping.

Wait a minute. You might not need the "Y" pipe if your existing manifolds already connect to a mercury "Y" pipe.
