Re: converting type 1 to type2

im pretty sure it is the 2.5. the motor that i took a part was a '79 model. in the early 80's they modified that same powerhead. so the first one is a type 1 and the second is a type 2. i was going to try to take the componets off of the older model and put them on the newer one. i was wondering if anybody had done this or had any suggestions. i did not know if it would work. they look exactly the same except for a poppit valve under #5 clynder. thanks a lot.
