So, I figure since I've hacked up the back end of my boat (replaced a OMC stringer drive with an outboard) I may as well go whole hog and hack the front end as well.
I want to build a casting platform by cutting out a portion of the box and turning my closed bow into an open one. Using what I have seen of Habercrafts as inspiration so the platform would be about halfway to the keel and be 8-10 inches in from the sides with a wlakway from the cabin.
So, anyone tackle something like this in the past? I think it can be done in suck a way as to keep the bow reinforced side to side and have space for rods etc. without adding too much weight.
