I have an early 90's mercury 15 hp 2stroke (longshaft) and am currently using it on a small john boat. While the boat itself has no problem accepting a longer motor, the lake I use it on does. I don't want to replace the motor, and I am unsure about how much I could build up the transom as it has seen numerous repairs. This leaves me with the option of conversion. Anyone have any hints, directions or links to guide me through this????
