converting from tiller steering to steering wheel

I have a 1958 35hp sea horse. Is there some type of bracket i need to be able to hook a steering wheel cable to the motor. I can't for the life of me figure out where on the motor to hook a steering cable

I was at my local OMC dealer last week and asked if he had that exact kit. He pulled down one in an old dusty box and wanted $238 for it!!!!! I said I'd pass. I think it's going to get even dustier!
