Converting bow pedestal seat on 15' Boston Whaler

My Boston Whaler Striper 15 has a bow pedestal seat, but it's not a floor mount like other bass boats. Rather than mounting perpendicular to the deck, it is parallel. In the attached photo, you can see the mounting bracket. I believe the current pedestal is 2-3/8" maybe 2-1/2" diameter and around 24" high.

I'd like to convert it to something adjustable to 33" or 34" height with a butt seat, but I'm having a problem finding the right pedestal. Just about everything I see online have locking pegs for the deck mounted receptacle.

Anyone have options to suggest?

Hold that thought. Someone gave me more to think about, like how a taller pedestal might be adversely affected by leaning to hard on it. Don't want to pull the mount out of the fiberglass.
