Is it at all possible to convert a 1965 Evinrude 40hp 2 stroke to a 4 stroke? If so how?

anything is possible for a price. But in this case, certainly not practical. Its a whole different system requiring many added functions....<br /> :)

Re: Converting 2 stroke to 4 stroke

I suppose it's possible to convert a Chevy Nova to turbine power, but it would cost tons of cash and be a nightmare technically. If the 2 stroker runs well, run it. If there are compelling reasons to have a 4 stroke, buy a motor that's already engineered to do what is required. It's a good question, but the costs and manufacturing problems FAR outweigh any benefit. Anyhow, welcome to the forum! :)
