converter question

Hello to all! I need some insight,I have an 88 4 runner,I hooked up a standard 4 wire system to my trailer I have everything but the brake lights! I was told I need a converter,that my truck is 5 wire. are these converters hard to put in? has any had any experience putting them in? any info would be great!!! thanks!

Easy to install and availavle at parts stores, walmarts, etc. If you look you may be able to find a "plug in" unit for your harness.<br /><br />Bob

I had the same thing happen. I went to an online Parts store and ordered the adapter for about 35 buck (Toyota dealer wanted a lot more). You remove the rear lights, plug in the adapter, and you are good to go.<br /><br />Jason
