Just bought a 26ft SeaRay that originally had a single I/O the transom was filled and strengthened and a custum aluminumbracket was made to install twin 200 Evinrudes.
my questions and problems are is this a safe thing to modify, and is it too much hp for the boat. the modification looks well made and secure but I cant tilt the outdrives out of the water but have full trim capability.
also only paid $2500 for all boat trailer and motors, motors run strong and trailer is all galve in good shape. my worry is the boat handleing it? what do you all think?

can add pics of the modifications tommorow I forgot the camera at the shop.

Re: converted I/O to outboards

Sounds interesting. If the modification was done professionally I don't see a problem. That hull had a 7.4 liter option I think (330 hp) so it isn't grossly overpowered or overweight. How does it ride and how fast is it? I'd like to see the pics. I've seen a few local boats with transom brackets.
