Convert short shaft Honda15 to longer shaft

I have a Honda 15 hp, about'88 or'89, and I want to use it as a kicker for a jet boat that I just bought. The shaft measures about 18 in. and I need it to be 20 - 25 inches. Anyone know how difficult it is to change and how much?
