Three years ago I sold a sixteen footer with a Tohatsu 30Hp fourstroke S/S on the stern to a collegue from work, the engine had done less than twenty hours.
He has used the boat three times and it is now lying ashore with the trailer collasped.

He approached me and kind of half suggested I may like to buy it back
I have no use for the boat byt could probably move it on, I do however have use for the engine if it can be converted to a long shaft.
I have a pretty limited knowledge of mechanics.

So would converting it be mechanically easy, and value for money taking into account the parts needed for the job?
