convert from sight glass to sight tube

i have a 1982 merc 260 with mechanical fuel pump which has a sight glass attached directly to the pump.. the connection to the pump broke.. is there an easy way to convert it to tube instead of the glass? can i attached a nipple and clear tube and run that to the carb? i havent looked up the info on this yet.. just thought i would send this out and bounce it around a bit..

wonderin if i can add a tube to my current fuel pump? there is the threaded connection from the pump to the glass.. can i attach a nipple and tube to that fitting and run that to the carb?

I'm sure it could be converted, couldn't tell you exactly what pump you would need, that would depend on fuel line positioning for your specific application. May require changing fuel line and drilling a hole in the airhorn of the carb so you can install a fitting for the diaphram by-pass hose to connect to.
