Re: Convert Binacle Mount Control Box to work with Force Outboard
The Force can be converted to a binacle mount.
My center console is a binacle mount. But it has 2 shifters for the twins.
The 17/19ft center consoles cme with a binacle mount.
The t/t is run off a momentary switch on the control panel just like mine.
Now finding a binacle mount might be tricky(I might have one, will have to look)With the connectors.
It will need to be a Chrysler/Force shifter.
Re: Convert Binacle Mount Control Box to work with Force Outboard
Yes, it is completely do-able. I just bought a Force 85 with what I believe is Morse binnacle controls. So, look on this site at the store--they probably carry them.
Re: Convert Binacle Mount Control Box to work with Force Outboard
Thanks Jerry and Frank. I now see that the Chrysler/Force uses a universal control cable set like the 3300 Xtreme Control Cable and the Chrysler & Force Teleflex Connection Kit CA27019 I think. So probably any universal Telex/Morse binnacle control of the right age will work. Jerry let me know if you find one in your part box.
Also another question. How does the warm up controls work with a binnacle control?
Re: Convert Binacle Mount Control Box to work with Force Outboard
They work the same as your control. Pull it out push it forward.
Those parts are for the cable connections on the motor end.
One is for the shifter(small) the other is to put tension on the throttle when it's put back in neutral
