I have a long shaft 35 Sea Horse 521 cc (JBAL35CND) that I used on my sailing boat so far; I want to use it with the tender and need to convert to a short (or standard) shaft ... the housing has an extension that can be removed. Can anybody tell me whatI need and where I can get it (drive shaft, water hose, gear stick ...)?

Any dealer, or salvage yard should be able to help with this. If you are going to keep it as a short shaft, you may be able to sell, or trade your old parts. You pretty well covered what you need in parts.

If it was converted to a longshaft ( which would have the exaust housing extension piece) it may have an extension piece on the driveshaft and water tube that you can just take off..if you are lucky all you will need is a shift shaft.

You can run a long shaft engine on a 15" transom if you like but not the reverse.
