I have a 97 4-stroke 9.9 HP Johnson. I can't get it to reach the WOT position when my control handle is fully forward. I took it apart hoping to find a couple of holes to choose from so I could get more throw from it but no such luck. The control is an OMC that seems to have no visible wear or loose parts.
If I adjust the cables at the motor side I can get the full throttle RPM to climb but when I put it back in nuetral I'm idling at 1500 RPM.
Is there a solution to this that I'm overlooking?
