Controls Question

Can the controls (i.e.: binnacle and steering setup) for a 1994 yamaha 40hp 2 stroke be interchanged with a 1990 yamaha 90hp 2 stroke?

some of the 40's used a 7 pin main harness most all the 90's used a ten pin.
as long as the 40 your replacing used a 10 pin main harness it work.
