Controls for '58 Buccaneer 25hp

Would anyone have any diagrams they could provide me regarding hooking up remote controls to a 1958 25hp Buccaneer outboard?
I have basic knowledge on maintenance of engines but if anyone has any advice for tuning this engine up I would greatly appreciate it.

Well you shouldn't have much of a problem there. Controls for OMC's (Evinrude and Johnson as well as Gale Buccaneer) of that era and probably up through the 60's should work.

Try AOMCI.org. Go to the "Ask A Member" forum. There is a webvertise section. Put a wanted ad there.

You can also try the Salvage yards posted somewhere here at iboats.com

Hopefully someone will confirm what year ranges will work since I am not 100% sure.

The steering would be by cables and pulleys.
