Hi,

My engine makes a continuous sound from the OMC console, which means that the engine was overheated.

But in such a case, the engine should be stuck to 2000RPM and I can go much over.

The documentation says that we have to wait for the engine to get refresh and try again to start it. But when I only turn the key, whitout starting the engine, the continuous sound is here and never stops.

If somebody can give me tip, or better some diagrams of Johson 40HP (1992).

Thanks,
PYL.

Hey PYL
If I understand the problem correctly, the heat alarm sounds continuously even when the motor is cold........if this is true you have a faulty heat sensor or the wire between the sensor and the alarm is shorting out. Check for a short first.
Good luck,
Backlash

Don't forget the horn itself. They go bad with amazing regularity.

Good luck!
