I was having issues with power and replaced the power pack, now all six are firing, 1989 GT150 by the way. However, my tach doesn't work and I had read on here that you could connect the gray tach wire to one of the yellow stator wires to get the tach to work . . I did this and the tach worked, or seemed to! After I shut the motor down, I went to restart it and had no power to anything, no alarm test or anything, I found that the main harness fuse had blown. I figured it may have something to do with the tach so I put the wires (grey) back to where it belong and replaced the fuse. Now when I turn the key on or start the engine I get a constant alarm. I disconnected the temp sensors, no change. I have no VRO, disconnected it and the alarm years ago. Is there anything else that could cause the constant alarm or could I have shorted something when the fuse blew? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!

probably damaged the horn itself, or horn circuit.

Is there some way to test or verify that. I only have the Seloc manual and I used it last time I changed my oil to mop up spills! lol The worst manual I've ever seen, guess I better get an OEM!

Here's the latest . . found a shorted 12V wire in the harness that had rubbed through . . blown fuse solved. Constant alarm: apparantely when the 12v wire shorted it shorted the horn, I took the control box apart and disconnected the horn, hooked it back up and now it doesn't work at all. Time to buy a temp guage! Now to my other post: Good spark, weak spark, no spark to post results on my power loss issues! thanks for the feedback guys, always a pleasure to get sound advice!
