I currently own a 1987 Thompson with Mercruiser 3.7 470s. However, if all the planets aline, and the moon is full, my dream is about to become a reality. I am in the process of completing a deal for a 1979 33' Egg Harbor with twin Crusader 270s with just 400 hrs on each. I know nothing of these inboards. Can anyone give me some advice on these motors and perhaps what to look out for? (ie. like the heat exchanger and charging system flaws with my 470s :().

Thanks!

Good to know. Thanks. The owner is telling me avg. 15 gph with the 33 foot Egg which ways around 13K cruising at 18 knots. Fair numbers??
