I'm considering buying the above truck{single cab, work truck version}. This truck is like the other v8 versions with the exception of the limited slip differential. I would like to know the mpg with and without tow{hwy and city}?

Costly when compared to a domestic truck and the interiors are not quite as large. I have found others more comfortable and easier to maintain.

Bob

I have a 2004 Tundra Access Cab V8 with towing package. It's 2WD. I get about 15mpg around town and highway without the boat and about 9mpg with a 7,200 lb boat.

And I believe it compares well with "domestic trucks". Actually, it's made right here in the USA.

Its a nice truck but over priced. I was thinking of 1 till I tried to park it. The turning circle is about 50 FT! Not good IMHO.

Loyd...All the info you want is on the Toyota site in the truck section...
http://www.toyota.com/tundra/index.html

The site even has comparisons. Limited slip diff is exetremely important for the front if you get 4WD.

I don't want to change the subject or start a war or anything, but FYI: my 04 Silverado 4x4 1500 Crew cab gets about 16-17 mixed city & highway, and about 12-13 towing. I know Toyota has a good rep, but GM has world class engine/tranny combos as well now a days.
