Hi all, I am considering a very nice 8 year old Monterey 190. It is as nice of shape as any 2007 I have looked at otherwise I would not consider one this old. I don't know much about Monterey's but this one weighs in at a hefty 3300 lbs but has the most basic 4.3 liter carb engine which was the standard of many choices. I have seen this same boat with a 270 HP v8 efi and more commonly a carb v8. I am betting it is a dog in the water but the price is right. Any body have any experience with these boats or any advice? I love to go fast but I have limited funds to purchase and am trying to make a decision and this is a pretty robust boat for the $.

Thanks You

Montereys are great boats, I have a 24' bowrider. Not sure about the 4.3 in that boat, are you sure about the weight? 3300 seems really heavy for a 19' boat. They are definately heavy boats for their size, mine weights 4500, but 3300 still seems pretty heavy.

I have a '69 19' Searay with a 4.3 in it. It is a very heavy boat and i get 34 mph out of the 4.3. I'm happy with that.
