Installing a 24V trolling motor on my boat. I have already run new 6 gauge wire to the batteries now I want to use the best type of connectors possible. Also looking for proper tools for stripping and crimping as well. Any advice on type of connectors and tools?

[colour=blue]The aim is to get an excellent electrical connection that is sealed against corrosion.

For a permanent conection - For that size cable you can use a battery lug crimper (some stores 'lend' them to you if you buy the lugs/cable from them) and then put some waterproof shrink tube (with glue) over the crimped connection.

For a removable connection - Anderson plug.
