I have been unable to find the pictures I took when I disassembled my 1985 50hp. 4cyl. engine
and its been long enough that I don`t trust my memory. The connecting rods have a grove on
one side at the rod and cap parting line and I don`t remember if the rods were installed with the
grove up (toward the flywheel) or down. I have not found anything in the Mercury or Seloc
manuals to help. Hope someone out there knows about this and can help me.
THANKS SO MUCH .........HAS
