Just wanted to say congratulations to Don S for his promotion to Vice Admiral, and 5000 posts. Don S ranks inside the top twenty alltime posters of seventy two thousand + registered iboats members. I would also like to offer a great big THANK YOU. Don has definately been a great asset to the iboats repair forum. He reaps nothing for doing this, except the satisfaction for helping people in need, and the occassional thank you. Don has obviously devoted many hours of his time and knowledge. I for one have learned quite a bit from him and others on this board, But Don really does stand out for his short time as a member. <br /><br />Keep up the good work Don, and thanks again.

I also say thanks to Don. If it weren't for him and Bondo, (as well as others) I would not have been able to complete my project boat of 1974 pre alpha leg and 1995 Merc 3.0 4cyl. Frankenstein ran well all summer and now she is for sale as we have upgraded to an '87 Sea Ray. The only thing is that the Ray has the 470, so I may still be leaning hard on Don. <br /><br />I orderded Merc Manual #6 and #8 already, and also the Chilton to guard my knees against the nonskid as he says. I know that will be the first thing he says!!!<br /><br />Thanks again. We really appreciate it.

Is it just me, or is this a typical response from Don? Not taking as much credit as he often deserves! <br /><br />You are very correct though Don, there are lots of smart people on here. You are one of them though and sometimes don't get the respect you deserve. Most of the time from new posters that just don't know that you are almost always right! <br /><br />I too am saying THANK YOU! Kudos to Don! As a "newbie cadet" I already have learned a great deal here at iboats with the added experience of folks like Don. congratulations, SIR, is i said in a post a long time ago, with out you i would have never gotten as far as i did with the boat. the present owner, did not know about iboats. i told him for the history of the motor to read all my post, and to respect and take the advice of DonS. he new the history. many thanks and great respect to you, and all the others who helped me. sorry i'm just and O/B man.
