Steve Fosset just broke the world record for the longest flight (although I've been on a few that felt like that too :D )

Story here: Record Flight

brilliant Heycods: I didn't even notice that mistake :D I guess the BBC may have a vacancy for a copy writer soon :D

Guess Steve did pretty well to get as far as he did. I can guess what is going to happen next though: now that they know the aircraft would have travelled even further without the fuel tank leak at the initial stages he'll be planning an even longer trip next year: maybe even France  :p

I'm with you on the discomfort aspect: I'd have needed to get up and go for a walk on the wings just to stop my poor old back from seizing up :(
