From AOL:<br /><br />"No one will be able to be armed. We are going to take all the weapons," Riley said.<br /><br />Authorities continued trying to clear the city of holdouts, and also confiscated guns from homeowners. Police and soldiers feared deadly confrontations with jittery residents who have armed themselves against looters.<br /><br /><br />WOW. Kind of scary.

That’s a tall order, how will they know when they have all the firearms. You KNOW the criminal element WILL NOT willingly give up their weapons. This should be interesting. Just have to pray none of the individuals responsible for disarming the masses gets injured.

Re: Confiscating weapons

Now that the criminals took advantage of the situation, I can understand why the authorities NEED to do this. It may not be right per say, but they have to do what they have to do. Things down there are so messed up anyway, so something else isn't going to matter much. However it will be a strong topic in the future for sure.

another reason I wont register any weapons :) :) .<br /> its happened all over the world in the past. once the weapon is registered all it provides is a list to those that will confiscate them. does absolutly nothing to prevent crimminal use of the weapon.

Hi,<br /><br />Were from the government and we are here to help. Not. It would be funny if it were not so true.
