SEC____ 6 wins 3 losses (BCS Championship 7th consecutive)

Pac-12___ 4 wins 4 losses

C-USA___ 4 wins 1 loss

ACC _____4 wins 2 losses

Big East__ 3 wins 2 losses

WAC_____ 2 wins 0 losses

MAC_____ 2 wins 4 losses

Big 10____ 2 wins 5 losses

MWC_____1 win 4 losses

I think you can see that no one conference was completely dominant, but with 6 wins and the National Championship, CLEARLY the SEC is the best.

Only 1 BCS bowl matters, the BCS Championship Game, and that record was 42-14!

Bruce, give it up man. The SEC is the best conference. The Pac-12 is not.

You keep getting in the last word all you want today, but Alabama shut you up last night.

Good day sir.

I think Alabama was the best team last night for sure!

Too bad Notre Dame was in it.

I don't think any team could have beat 'Bama last nite. They were on fire........ But, we'll never know........

So much for "good" defenses winning championships.......

I believe that bama could beat some of the weaker pro teams.

Now that's just crazy talk! ;)

Musky, I agree to an extent about the defense. I am just thinking maybe ND's wasn't as good as I (and everone else) thought, and that Bama's is typical SEC, really good? The 40 days to prepare helps explain Bama's stifling of ND's offense. But it sure didn't take 40 days to draw up running plays right at the front 7 of ND! Bama just out Manned them.

What's that Bruce, you don't have any fantasy stats to quote, so you post a picture of an awesome Stagecoach?

"And for my defense this week, I'll go with Oregon", said no fantasy football participant ever.

Tilliam, got to give Bruce a little credit, that's kinda clever. You had to chuckle a little yourself. Notice the instruments......

How much more credit can I give? I used the word "awesome"!

Bruce, i fthat wagon was bullet proof, then I'd drive it. In the meantime, I'll just follow REAL football and keep my firm grasp on reality, the SEC is the best conference.

SEC is the leader in over-signing recruits then cut the ones that don't make the cut. A big advantage. AtM and Georgia are up to 30+ verbals already for 2013.

Only 1 BCS bowl matters,

Sure BCS bowls matter, some of the other bowls had participants that didn't have winning records between the two of 'em. When 'competition' gets to that level, one conference is only better than the other in that game. Not to worry, though, soon every team getting into the 'playoffs' will be a last game loser except one ...

ANd based on past experience, that one team will be from the SEC.

And no the other BCS bowls don't matter anymore than the other bowls. Only game that truly matters is the fictional National Championship game. The other BCS bowls are only called that because they get to host the Championship game in rotation every 4 years. They have no bearing on the "Championship" what-so-ever. Therefore they don't count.

You want a mulligan on that Bandwagon Billy? None of the BCS bowl games rotates and becomes the Title game. They stopped that 6 years ago. The site of the National Championship rotates however.

This year there were 4 BCS bowl games plus the championship game. 6 years ago they only had 4 BCS bowl games with one of them designated the championship game.

Re: Conference records in Bowl Games

Bruce, ever since the change, yes the Championship game has been a separate bowl. However, it's LOCATION is determined by the rotation of the Bowls in the series. This year it was where the Orange Bowl had just been played. Next year it'll play in the Rose Bowl, just after the Rose Bowl has been played.

And actually, this perfectly illustrates my point that the other BCS bowls don't matter.

You may have your last word now.
