Received my parts to replace the compression value (poppet), grommet, and spring. The new one is different than the old one. The new one has a crown (mushroom) shape. Does the crown (mushroom) face the rear of the engine, or does it face inside the motor?

The only valve that I found in the service manual the dome faces the inside away from the rear of the motor.

Re: Compression Value Replacement

Thanks very much for your advice.. I have a drawing showing it the other way. However, some thought how it would work proper, I agree with both of you, it's engineered to work the way you suggested.
