Compression Testing XP 150 Evinrude

I am wanting to know the proper method of testing compression on a 1990 XP 150 Evinrude. Any Evinrude Tech's out there? Thanks

Not sure you need to be a tech to do it, but... remove all spark plugs. Stick compression gauge in #1 (top) cylinder. Jumper starter solenoid to spin the motor. Wait for reading to maximize. Write it down. Repeat for cylinders 2-6.
