Hi all, I have a mercury 1999 6hp 2 stroke and my tester fits fine. I recently purchased a 2006 15hp and my tester seems to be a little to thick?? Do I need a Smaller attachment or something? Just Weird old merc it fits and this one it does not.

Re: compression tester question

It should fit a standard spark plug hole.

Yep, you need a reducer. Your older outboard used a BPZ8HS-10 plug with a 14 mm thread, the newer outboard uses a DPR6EA-9, which has a 12 mm thread.
