Compression Test

When doing a compression test, how long do you crank the engine over? Is it until the highest reading shows?,certain amount of seconds? what?

One of the parameters of a good cylinder is that the cylinder pressure come up fast. The gage should show at least 40% of the final pressure on the first revolution. Ultimate pressure should be seen in 4-5 revolutions. <br />Charlie
