I have a 1978 55hp evinrude and would like to check the compression but do not know what it should be in both cylinders. I know that it should be close to one another but have heard varying numbers from 80 to 110 . :( :( :(

Re: compression in cylinder

The manufacturer calls for a variance of no more than 15 lbs (not %). We're not so worried about the actual number as we are the difference.
