Compression for 700 and 650 <br /><br />What is the correct compression readings for the Yamaha 650 and 700 motors. <br />I am going to buy 2 skis today and I’d like to know if my readings are with in spec.<br />Thanks,<br />Mac

Mac,<br /><br />I asked this same question a few days ago and got no response.<br /><br />Then, I checked the compression myself, 130 and 142, and ran that by my outboard mechanic, who, admittedly, is not a full-time PWC mechanic, but he said those numbers, while a little far apart (preferably they should be less than 5% difference) but certainly less than 10% difference, should be fine.<br /><br />Hope this helps.<br /><br />You might want to post this on the Yamaha outboard forum and maybe a PWC mechanic will come forward.<br /><br />Richard
