can anyone explain how to do this-ie- pressure, duration of pressure,i can build the test manifold just need to know the proceedure,an what is an acceptable pressure drop or maybe a link or article that i might research

What's commonly called a "leak down tester"? Here's a DIY one:<br /> http://www.xs11.com/tips/misc/misc3.shtml <br />I see them selling at discount auto tool stores for about $100 CDN. The big deal is you need a pressurized air source like a compressor.

paul thank you for the information it will be a great help. apoor boy has poor ways but thats how i afford to keep fishing i am more afraid of this computer than i am of that boat motor. i have learned a good lesson, ask a simple question, the next thing you know your up to your butt in alligators!!ha-ha thanks again..
