Hi

I would like to modify my trailer to use a removable tongue so that it can fit inn my garage. in doing so, I will have to also replace my winch post which sticks out past the bow.

I am looking for a winch post that will be in under the bow so that when I get the removable tongue, the trailer will not add to the overall length.

I have found pictures of several winch posts that woudl owrk but cant identify who the manufcaturer is. Do you know the manufacturer of any of these winch posts (see pics)? Also do you know any other winch post that would fit my need?

Yeah I've been doing that for the past two weeks but only find the regular ones the stick too much forward.

Thank you. I would have never guessed these are the same. I guess I can just buy one of those slanted winch post and have it converted to be straigth too, correct?

Sincerely

If you already have a slanted one just cut the top off where neeeded, but make sure not to cut it too short if the bow support will be right above the bow eye. Can you show a pic of what you already have. I cut my post and moved the same winch support from the back of the post to the front, then added a couple big bolts to make sure the winch support can't slide up and off.

if you look on the page, there is a 42" post for pontoons that is straight... would only need cut down... OR keep shopping... other companies may have more options.. I only searched for a few minutes

A slanted post may work better if you are putting on a swing tongue and truly want the hinge point to occur at a point even with the front of the boat (to make the trailer as short as possible) otherwise the brackets for the winch stand will probably get in the way.
