Hey Guys,

My 93 Sunbird 185SS Corsair has a leak it looks like is coming from the gasket on top of the exhaust manifold to where the combonation manifold mounts. According to seloc, there is a restrictor that mounts between the two gaskets. 2 questions.

1. What would cause this to leak, and what, if any damage does the leak cause.

2. Is there a kit to replace the gaskets, and is it hard to replace them.

Sorry, by the way it is a 3.0L OMC Cobra

Thanks in advance,

If it's leaking on the outside of the manifold/riser, then it could be leaking water to the inside of the manifold which would dump water into your cylinders; one of the easiest ways to blow your motor.

New gaskets are easy to come by. You need to know whether your application requires fully open gaskets or restrictor gaskets. You also need to check the mating surfaces to make sure they aren't rusting away. Then you'll need a new manifold and riser.
