Drove down to Portland, Or. From Ellensburg Wa. Last week. Saw a lot of river bottom that the Columbia rive has never shown. Going to be ruff on the Salmon runs.

Re: Columbia River

We finally got some rain this last week, and the river is higher now than it's been all winter. It's still too low, and no doubt will be all summer. Someone said we need 1/2" of rain a day all April to get an average snowpack.

You're right....the salmon run is already screwed up. I've been out several times before the rains, got a native headed for Idaho, I think....nice fish, put it back, of course.

Then last week nothing, except a neighbor of mine had a fish stolen by a sea lion. They're everywhere; my boat was being circled about once an hour.

Got blown off the river Saturday (well, the BB tourney was on, too). Hopefully, this week will pick up.

Re: Columbia River

Last July there was more snow on the passes than there was March 10. Not only the fish but the farmers will be in a world of hurt.

A person could walk across the Yakima river.

Good luck fishing
