Does anyone have info on the color code. It's
one of them things that tell you what color you should be fishing with. And before everyone starts
to make up all kinds of jokes. NO, IT'S NOT MINE. I'm just looking up info for a friend.
THANKS FOR ANY HELP & JOKES

Re: color codes

Actually there was a unit that would tell you what color to use on the market a number of years ago.

Wasn't very popular and went the way of the dinosaur.

Re: color codes

Depending on the clarity of the water you are
fishing. In darker stained water it may be more
effective to fish with a brighter color like
chartreuse or a color that may be more easily seen
by the fish. In clearer water a silvery or darker
body can be more effective than a bright color.
I have a light sensor that I got as a gift years
ago that you lower down into the water up to 50 ft
to measure how light penetrates, and you make a
lure color choice based on how much light was
gathered by the meter.
It just a gadget but the principle is sound.
