Hello everyone.
I have a 2013 9.8 Tohatsu. When I pull the choke out for cold start, the engine starts and revs to about 3000 rpm untill I can push the choke off. Do you think I should adjust the fast idle screw so that it doesn't rev so high? Other than that, the motor runs perfect. Thanks.

Yes. Agreed. But you may want that higher choke-idle setting if starting on really cold days, because really cold fuel does not atomize as well as warm fuel -- in those conditions, just keeping any idle as the motor starts will require a somewhat higher choke-idle. If running in "normal" boating temperatures, you do not need, and don't want, 3,000 RPM at start.
