Cold Running 25hp Johnson

It's a '91 model. It seems to be running like it's cold on the take off but runs fine once it gets up to speed. I have the ventilation plate about 1" above the keel. Think I should drop it down?

Cavatation plate is ok. Have you checked the thermostat to see if its stuck open?

Haven't checked. Where is it and how can I tell if it's stuck open?
