I have a 1982 25hp Johnson. While servicing it I accidentally broke a wire that connected to the coil assembly. If you are aware of how the wire is connected to it then u will understand my problem. It is not a screw type connection, but rather the wire is molded into the plastic itself. This part is now listed as obsolete.
How can I fix this? Can I just drill a hole in the assembly, inter the exposed end of the wire, and JB weld it? A detailed instruction would be greatly appreciated.
