Howdy all,
I tried to grease the power steering unit in my King Cobra. The Service manual suggests greasing it via the zerk fitting near the actuator valve. When I pumped grease in I noticed power steering fluid coming out of the boot. in the valve area. Evidently the actuator valve is leaking. Not a lot. I'm not losing excessive fluid but it's enough to have add fluid once in a while.
Has anyone ever rebuilt one of these? It appears pretty simple. I don't have it out but I'm hoping that it has replaceable seals etc.
Of course I saw one on EBAY several months ago (New old stock) and didn't buy it.....why would I need it? ....yeah... (I said the same thing about the exhaust manifolds I saw too!......(460) )
Thanks,
Rick
