Cobia Half Cabin Restoration

I picked this fun little boat up this last weekend and started started the restoration. On the title it's marked as a 1967, but I found a Colorado registration under the floor that has it as a 1973. What year do you guys think it is?

As for the restoration I have to rebuild the transom, the floor, and patch a couple of spots on the hull. This will be my first boat restoration. I hope I am not in over my head...

Also there was a 50hp Mercury Tracker on it. I might go back and buy it. If we wanted to go tubing or maybe take it out off the coast of San Diego, is that too small?

Have you read any of the "stickies" about rebuilding boats at the top of the forums? I suggest you start there and read those how-to stickies before doing anything else. You are in for a lot of work and money spending before you have a nice safe boat to use. But you are on the best site to get that info and help...
