I've been thinking about upgrading from our current 2001 246 to one of the WSS series Cobalts. It's between the 242 and 262. I would love to hear what you guys have to say about either. I'm really torn between the two so I'm hoping to narrow it down and hopefully commit one one!

Thanks in advance.

While I've never never been aboard either model, I'm not sure the 242 would be much different from your 246 aside from small layout changes like the reversible transom sunpad. Is is just because of the wakeboard rack/arch? If you are wanting a great wakeboard boat, you can buy a v-drive tournament boat for less than the price of the WSS series. The 262 is enormous for a wakeboard boat, but I guess if you need to take 10 of your friends out wakeboarding/skiing it may fit the bill. Both boats have amazing styling and top notch finish, but it just depends on what your real purpose for the boat will be.

The tower is a must for us. We are avid wakeboarders and water sports fanatics. We're sticking with cobalt and an inboard/outboard because our local lake tends to be rough more often than not and it's a good size lake. I've been on plenty of inboards, but those flat hulls get beat to death. I've been on and boarded behind the 262, but it comes down to is the extra 2ft worth the price. I really want to compare the two of them on rough water and see the difference.
