CMC tilt. Having issue with 115 Evinrude steering arm

Trying to mount an older 115 to a CMC and with it up high as it can go the steering shaft hits. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your CMC is mounted to the boat backwards. The part your engine is on goes against the boat.
