I purchased a cmc pt 130 t&t unit for a pontoon boat and am stumped about wiring. Unit only has 2 wires coming from trim motor toward sw. How does this work, i thought you need a grnd circuit?

Re: cmc t&t

Thanks Huron Angler. I've looked at their manual and realized i need relays and c/b. What realy has me puzzeld is how this works without a grnd wire circuit. Seems to me their should be 3 wires to trim motor unless they using some internal circuitry.

Either the relays act to reverse the direction of current through the trim motor or the motor is grounded.

Re: cmc t&t

The motor for the pump only has a positive and negative it is the switch that determines direction, one side of the switch is revesed to make the motor run ''backwards'' but yes you need the relays.

I got a deckhand electric ancor earlier this year and about popped a circuit trying to figure out how to make a dash switch as it involves 6 wires, I just drew it out until it made sense and actually got it to work, me and wiring are not best freinds.
